So many good things that will outweigh the bad, you will endure, of this I am certain.
In a few short years, you will learn the difficulties that life presents to it’s less fortunate participants. Despite your best efforts, you’ll be hard pressed to avoid drawing the short straw as you navigate adolescence, puberty, teenage life and young adulthood.

…it was time to correct myself before I wrecked myself.
Years of tweezing and waxing have seen my eyebrows take on all of the geometric shapes they could muster, from the ‘comma’ to the ‘flatline’, they’ve done it all! In September, I decided to let my eyebrows grow out where they have been waxed and plucked in the hopes of a new shape presenting itself by years end. By November, it had become too much and there were only so many two-inch hairs I could pull out by hand, it was time to correct myself before I wrecked myself.

A little pot of sugary, flavoured goodness is all you need to exfoliate that soft lip skin and get rid of any hanging bits of unpleasantness.
For an amateur like me, applying a matte liquid lipstick is an art form in itself; the perfect application takes time, practice and a lot of concealer around the mouth to get the straightest of edges and cleanest of applications. There is however another step frequently omitted that would make your lipstick life that much easier in the future, one I cottoned onto a little later in life but something I felt absolutely necessary to share with you, this step requires a little bit of a lip scrub and a whole lot of restraint.

‘The first time I saw the words ‘Domain Authority (DA)’ I felt like I was a very small Neon Tetra in an aquarium of Oscars…’
It seems I have the daunting task of optimising three months worth of blog post images to include alt text, a task that is going to need a lot of coffee and even more patience as I edit and re position all images since September 2017. While the best blogging advice I’ve ever received would be NOT to focus too heavily on SEO (Search Engine Optimisation), it’s important to have an understanding of these concepts to get the basics right from the outset, the rest will follow.

November has been a particularly busy Netflix month for me, being home and in recovery means that a lot of time was spent laying in bed or assuming the position on the sofa in front of my favourite Netflix series or movie. It also saw me watching a lot more movies than I normally do (which is hardly any) so those have been included for you below.

A Xennial takes the middle ground between the negative, pessimistic Generation X and the overly positive, optimistic Generation Y, this according to sociologists and demographers globally.
I have grown up in in a world where social interaction both in person and digitally is the perfectly acceptable norm. Where playing outside with your friends under the glow of the street lamp was just as natural as sending your message over the interwaves within 140 characters. I grew up using an encyclopaedia in a library to research school projects and now use Google to research personal ones.

Let’s be clear, love is not like
Being a mum is so difficult.
There is no manual; there is no textbook; there is no 30 days free return policy.
Then, there you are, suddenly mum (or dad) and baby. Get on with it.

I have read a lot lately about monetising my blog, better understanding PR and working with brands in order to build a business with this baby of mine, Moonsomnia. Weeks of research have led me to the conclusion that a media kit is essential to approaching brands and businesses as I build this little empire. While I will, sometime in the near future, work on having a legitimate media kit created, I had a little giggle at a draft I put together just for fun. It highlights the struggles of a new blog with limited social media following / DA rating but showcases the appeal of a smaller, lesser known blog.

I have chosen a new path that will allow me to realise a lifelong dream, to do what I love and never work a day in my life.
It has been a while since I took a jump without forethought and planning. Almost all of my life has been calculated down to the finest T, every decision carefully crafted and designed for a desired outcome. I’ve never been an impulsive person, my OCD disallows careless action and I don’t usually do anything without hours of consideration.
